I fully believe that if God laid this calling on your heart than he will make a way, but God didn’t call Moses, Abraham, Paul, or Mary to serve without stepping outside their comfort zone. In the process God refined them, equipped them, and guided them to complete a task only given to them.

As someone who’s worked in ministry for almost 4 years I’ve learned that although I love all the students we serve I was most helpful to the students who had similar upbringings, past wounds, and obstacles I did. So, I dove deeper into my story and embraced that as my method for successful outcomes. I’ve helped more students through this method than I have with halfhearted conversations.
